ASDC Specialist Groups
Across the UK there are over 70 science and discovery centres bursting full of talented staff in a variety of different departments. The role of ASDC is to bring them all together so that they can share expertise, knowledge and best practice.
To facilitate this, ASDC have set up a selection of specialist groups that bring together staff from across the UK with specialist knowledge, and expertise in particular areas. These groups will be run by those within the professions, and supported by ASDC.
We encourage all specialist groups to hold at least one meeting per year, and will help them to connect to each other via conference calls and other online mechanisms.
The first of these groups to be set up is the Marketing Managers Group and the others to follow will include:
- Learning managers
- Exhibitions managers
ASDC will also be hosting specialist seminars in areas such as:
- Successfully Managing Volunteers
- Discussing climate science
