This event is now past!

The Chairman and Trustees of ASDC are delighted to invite staff from all member organisations to our first National Annual Conference, in Halifax on September 15 2011. The conference will be hosted by Eureka! The National Children's Museum in Halifax, close to the British Science Festival which will be taking place in the same week in Bradford.

We are delighted to announce that our conference this year will be supported by the Wellcome Trust. For information on who they are and what they do, please click here.

Within the Annual Conference we will hold our 2011 AGM from 4-5pm. In this session we will review the year's events and update you on the latest partnerships with Government and others. We will also be asking members to elect additional trustees onto the ASDC board. Please click here for more details on the AGM.

This lively event will be focused on innovation in science engagement and widening participation, and will offer delegates the opportunity to discuss, be inspired and meet colleagues from across the UK.

New and emerging ideas session

To showcase the very best of new ideas from people working in our centres, we have decided to open up one of our sessions and adopt the 'Pecha Kucha' format. This means that 10 selected speakers will have to communicate their ideas and present them in 20 powerpoint slides each of 20 seconds duration. So… you have six minutes 40 seconds to share your vision, your idea or your initiative about our field with an audience of your peers…!
