The ASDC Annual Meeting

The Chairman and Trustees of ASDC are pleased to invite staff from all member organisations to our AGM in Birmingham on September 16 2010. The meeting will take place at Thinktank, Birmingham‘s science museum, and is on the Thursday of the British Science Festival.

In the annual meeting we will review the year‘s events, update you on the latest partnerships with Government and others, and discuss together the future strategy for UK science and discovery centres. We will also be asking members to elect additional trustees onto the ASDC board and to join us for lunch afterwards to meet other members.

We would be delighted to hear from any senior staff member who would like to stand for election as a trustee, please contact Dr Penny Fidler in the first instance.

Guest Speaker

This year‘s guest speaker will be Clare Matterson from The Wellcome Trust, speaking about the Trust‘s new 10 year strategy and the role science centres might play in this.

Join us for lunch

Afterwards, we invite all members to join us for a complimentary buffet lunch where you will have the opportunity to meet other directors and staff from a variety of UK science and discovery centres.
