ASDC National Conference 2012: Space to Explore

UK Association for Science and Discovery Centres
2012 National Conference

Thursday 27th September 2012

At the National Space Centre, Leicester

The Conference Programme

Following the success of last year's national conference, this lively one-day event will offer delegates the opportunity to be inspired by the leaders in the field, share excellent ideas, discuss the latest national strategies, and meet colleagues from across the UK.

The cost for the day, including all food and refreshments, is 95 for members and 145 for non-members (early bird rates). A list of 2012 members can be found here.

Please visit our booking page for conference registration.

Invitation to the Members' Networking Dinner

All ASDC members are invited to the ASDC members' networking dinner the night before the conference. Details on how to book for the members' dinner can be found here.

Details of accomodation can be found here.

Electing ASDC Trustees and the AGM

Within the Annual Conference we will hold our 2012 AGM. In this session we will review the year's events and update you on the latest partnerships and will ask members to elect additional trustees onto the ASDC board. Please click here for more details on the Trustee Elections.

The Innovation Showcase: Pecha Kucha!

To showcase the very best of new ideas from people working in our centres, we have dedicated a session to the fast-paced and lively 'Pecha Kucha' format. Eight selected speakers will have the opportunity to communicate their ideas speedily, using only 20 powerpoint slides that auto-forward every 20 seconds.

So if you would like to present in this session, and feel that you can share your vision, your idea or your initiative about the field with an audience of your peers in six minutes 40 seconds, please do email ASDC with your name, title and 80 word talk summary. In July we will be sending out invitations for people to apply, but feel free to apply to Dr Penny Fidler in advance.
