Colin Johnson OBE, founding chair of Ecsite-UK (established in 2001) with more than 50 British member institutions that then became ASDC in 2009.

Colin Johnson OBE is an honorary research fellow at Cardiff University, and a public engagement consultant. He was the founding chair of Ecsite-UK. This was the organisation established in 2001 with more than 50 British member institutions that - in an early foreshadowing of Brexit - morphed into ASDC in 2009. Colin has a background in chemistry and education, and spent 18 years with Techniquest, seven of them as its CEO. He is an Honorary Fellow of Ecsite and he was the 2011 recipient of the Association for Science-Technology Centers' Fellow Award.
