Roddy Skinner – Sustainability Analyst We The Curious
Roddy has been working on the organisations carbon footprint and decarbonisation strategy for Carbon Net Zero by 2030 along with the Head of Sustainable Futures, Chris Dunford. As We The Curious’ Sustainability Analyst, his main focus is on operational sustainability and carbon data which can be challenging when working in such a niche sector. To help with this, Roddy spends time working with partners across Bristol, sharing and learning best practice from those taking climate action.
Nicola Grahamslaw, Ship Conservation Engineer at SS Great Britain
Chartered Engineer Nicola Grahamslaw has been working as the SS Great Britain "Ship's Conservation Engineer" since the role was created in 2018. In this role she is tasked with reducing the carbon footprint of the unique conservation system which preserves Brunel's original 1843 iron hull.
Giles Liddell, Project Manager, Environmental at Bristol City Council Climate Change and Sustainable City Service
Giles Liddell works for Bristol City Council as an Environmental Project Manager. He has worked on the council’s environmental management system for over 20 years, which has provided a wide range of experience of all kinds of environmental issues. Giles advises on the environmental impacts and enhancement and mitigation of these for projects that need committee or cabinet decisions. He also collects, processes and interprets data on the council’s climate performance and internal audits council environmental performance
Tom Batten, Head of Consultancy, Future Leap
Tom leads the consultancy offering at Future Leap, providing strategic and operational oversight of sustainability-focused projects. He holds an MSc in sustainable development, and prior to joining Future Leap has amassed 15 years of senior operations and project management experience in the hospitality, retail, and, charity sectors. Having spent most of his career working for constantly evolving start-ups, he understands the challenges faced by growing businesses, and can always spot the benefits and opportunities that sustainability can offer.
Tom is adept at developing strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and is dedicated to providing the highest levels of service and client care
Freddie Collins, Project Manager, Bristol City Leap
Freddie is a Project Manager within Bristol City Leap, an innovative joint venture between Bristol City Council and Ameresco Ltd which will accelerate green investment in Bristol and help towards decarbonising the city. Prior to Bristol City Leap Freddie has been leading on non-domestic projects within Bristol City Council’s influential Energy Service, where he delivered multiple projects in Bristol’s museums.
