The first in-person conference for three years, the 2022 ASDC Conference was at Glasgow Science Centre, one of our largest, most inspirational, flagship venues in the science and discovery centre and museum sector.
The conference took place over 2 days: with in-depth workshops, activities, our AGM, a networking dinner and a full day of inspiring keynotes, discussion tables, lightning talks and workshops.
All ASDC members are invited to join us in person for our AGM.
Enjoy time and space to make new connections and form collaborations, share ideas and inspiring practice across the informal science learning sector as we explore a future vision where science is accepted as a fundamental, meaningful and accessible part of everyday life with our theme Inspiring a New Culture of Science.
Conference delegates can take a virtual flight as part of the Newton Flight Academy, an immersive new experience at Glasgow Science Centre. The Newton Flight Academy is a thrilling experience unlike anything you’ve done before, and a first at an ASDC Conference!
Who attends?
Attendees at this conference are strategic and senior-level professionals who lead within major public engagement organisations. This includes CEOs, senior managers, project leaders and heads of departments in science and discovery centres and museums, eco-attractions and university and research-led public engagement departments and venues.
ASDC Chair and CEO of Glasgow Science Centre Stephen Breslin says "The largest gathering of science engagement professionals from across the UK, the ASDC conference will bring together inspirational and creative individuals who are committed to inspiring people with science and technology. It will be fantastic professional development opportunity and a place to exchange ideas, creativity and best practice."
