Lightning Talk: Learning Lab: the programme we never knew we needed.
Learning Lab is a unique education programme, born of the pandemic but proving to be a successful long-term model for engagement with schools. In this talk I will discuss fundraising to deliver equitable access to this programme and our plans to work with science centre partners to widen reach, increase participation and strengthen the offer. This presentation will focus on how the crisis bred innovation, resilience and forced us to create something we may not have done otherwise. I will explore how by pooling with other centres we can avoid ‘reinventing the wheel’, benefit from one another’s networks, grow our reputations and increase opportunities for meaningful participation in STEM.
Fiona will also join Ali Ely, Primary Science Teaching Trust, for her workshop on 'Working with Explorify to enhance visitor engagement - both real and and virtual!'
