Workshop: How to decarbonise your science centre (the session your grandchildren want you to go to)
The urgent need for rapid, deep and radical decarbonisation as a species is clear. Operating in the space between science and the society it is essential that science centres decarbonise, and as the price of energy and goods sky-rocket there are lasting savings to be made. This session will explain HOW to decarbonise, helping you to understand the tools and terminology, measure your greenhouse gas emissions, set a carbon reduction target, and meet that target through decarbonisation projects. The session will feature external experts in carbon management, case studies from the network, and introduce the new ASDC Decarbonisation Group. Whether you are entirely new to this subject, well on your way to carbon net zero, or anywhere in between, this is the session for you. This session will be run jointly with Roddy Skinner, We The Curious.
