Biography
Sarah is a zoologist and conservationist who found herself working in science communication, exhibitions, inclusive strategy and programme management almost by accident. After qualifying as a game ranger in South Africa, she ran out of money, came home, and started her career in the cultural sector as an Explainer and Presenter at @Bristol science centre, (now We the Curious), before moving around a range of national museums, zoos and institutions across the South of England and consulting on major projects overseas. Sarah currently works for Wellcome managing legacy funding programmes from the Culture & Society schemes, and was co-manager of the Inspiring Science Fund with Mike Sarna until its completion earlier this year. She looks forward to discussing some of the learning from ISF and its future application in the upcoming conference sessions.
