11th January, 2-3.30pm
This session is for our new science and discovery centres in concept or development stages. Join together to discuss the foundations and fundamentals that go in to creating an accessible and sustainable space for STEM. We will be joined by consultants in the sector and Tudor Gywnn, Strategic Projects Director at Eureka! who has been overseeing the successful, brand-new development of Eureka! Science + Discovery in Merseyside.
From diverse funding models and business planning to building relationships with local community, join us at the start of 2023 to hear from the following speakers:
- Dr Penny Fidler, Science Engagement Strategy Consultant: Creating a new Science Centre: Winning Hearts and Minds
- Steve Wallace, Planetarium Project Manager, Sherwood Observatory: From idea to reality, providing the business case for a new planetarium and science discovery centre
- Natalie Whitehead, Co Founder and Co Director, Exeter Science Centre: The highs, the lows, and what we've learnt
- Tudor Gwynn, Strategic Projects Director at Eureka!
We're opening this session up to prospective ASDC members who have been in touch and are keen to know more about the ASDC community alongside meeting people who are on a similar journey.
