Demonstrations Team Technician, The Royal Institution

Through our packed event programme available in person or online, our UK schools outreach and social impact initiatives, and our global digital reach including almost 1.5m YouTube subscribers we achieve our mission by connecting people with scientists to explore science together.

We are looking for a Demonstrations Technician to contribute to the development of engaging and world class scientific demonstrations for our Public, Family, and Schools programming, including the CHRISTMAS LECTURES.

You will maintain the Demo room, machinery and storage, maintain the Demo Asset register for props and demonstration equipment, ensure maintenance is carried out and risk is managed. You will also contribute to the coordination of the work of the team, liaising with colleagues, and coordinating props to ensure effective use of resources.
