The Digital Project Manager will lead on the delivery of digital outcomes for ‘First Light’ – an ambitious capital project to transform the visitor experience at the Royal Observatory Greenwich. They will manage processes from content and design development through to procurement and management of specialists and ultimately installation and commissioning in galleries, changing exhibitions and public-facing spaces. Following completion of the ‘First Light’ project, they will manage the delivery of digital content updates and improvements.
Key elements of the role will include managing budget, programme, quality, risk and change for digital aspects of the First Light exhibition and gallery projects, in order to successfully deliver digital outcomes across the Royal Observatory site. The role holder will oversee creative, editorial and technical quality, to ensure digital content meets the appropriate standards, championing best practice, creative integrity and accessibility throughout, working with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have experience of delivering digital outcomes including interactives, films, audio-visual experiences and mixed digital/analogue experiences in an exhibition, gallery, heritage or arts context, knowledge of accessibility requirements for digital outcomes and evidence of digital content development, interaction design, information architecture, production processes, development methodologies and software development life cycle.
