Explainer Team Leader, International Centre for Life

We are looking for an out-going person who is passionate about bringing science to life and being an inspiring role model. You will be the first point of contact for many of our visitors so outstanding customer service skills are a must. Delivery is core to this role. You will be a key member of our Explainer team, delivering our science engagement programme, ranging from presenting live shows to storytelling, and from workshops and hands-on experiments to special events for our science centre visitors and school parties.

You will have great communication skills and a passion for showcasing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) concepts in a fun and engaging way to a range of audiences. As team leader, you will lead by example, display excellence in customer service in a public facing role and provide the warmest of welcomes. You will also help mentor and coach those around you to deliver at a consistently high standard.

Demonstrating a lively interest in STEM is a plus but being a great communicator and passionate about what you do is essential.
