Each year Edinburgh Science delivers one of Europe’s largest science festivals, a primary school education programme across Scotland, a careers event for secondary school pupils and a variety of international programming activities and projects. About the role:
Working as part of Edinburgh Science’s Event Development Team, this Programme Manager role will work across our Festival, Learning and Worldwide arms in the creation, curation and delivery of a vibrant and varied programme of world-class science activities (workshops, shows, interactive exhibitions and events of both live and digital formats etc) that engage a range of audiences with the subjects of science and technology.
About you:
You may be degree qualified or have strong equivalent experience, with some knowledge in at least one area of STEM (science/technology/Engineering/Maths).
You will have a significant track record of successful event development/ programming experience and quality assurance of content/events. Experience of line management supervision and familiarity with science engagement networks/landscape are essential.
A natural communicator with excellent problem solving and organisational skills, you are able to communicate clearly and confidently with senior colleagues and a wide range of external stakeholders. Confident, proactive and professional, you have a passion for connecting people and ideas, and work extremely hard at building and maintaining relationships.
