Royal Museums Greenwich (RMG) is a collection of diverse historical sites. The sites are the National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, and the Queen’s House. Each of these sites has a unique identity and a common purpose to serve our communities, through sharing our collections and expertise. We are a place to explore the sea, space, art and history, and our strategy ‘Charting Our Course’ puts people at the core of its success.
The Learning Programmes Producer will lead on creating innovative curriculum-linked programmes and resources that develop students’ historical enquiry skills in response to our collections, themes and sites. The role holder will promote under-represented histories and facilitate a deeper understanding of our shared histories and futures through dialogue and active learning.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of using cultural sites and collections to support curriculum-linked learning and a keen commitment to diversity, representation, social inclusion and access within the cultural sector. Key skills we are looking for include effective communication, planning and prioritisation, and a passion for learning.
Core hours of work will be 36 per week, 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with an additional hour to be worked as agreed upon with management.
In return we offer a culture encouraging inclusion and diversity, pension, 22 days annual leave (rising to 25 days after 1 year), training and development and an environment with flexible working options.
