About the role
The Science Knowledge Asset Manager is an exciting new position designed to play a lead role in the management and exploitation of the Natural History Museum’s scientific Knowledge Assets (KAs).
Working within the newly formed Innovation Unit and across the Science group, you’ll help revolutionise the way NHM utilises its Intellectual Property by leading the development and implementation of a Knowledge Asset Management Strategy.
You’ll introduce end-to-end processes for managing science-generated Knowledge Assets from identification through to exploitation and be directly involved in the translation of early-stage discoveries to market ready products and services.
This is a rare opportunity to shape how the Natural History Museum supports an important area of work in innovation and commercialisation of its scientific research.
The role is funded by the Government of Technology Transfer’s (GOTT) Knowledge Asset Strengthening Programme (KASP) and is fixed-term for 2 years initially, with the potential for extension subject to future funding and successful outcomes. It may suit candidates looking for a secondment placement to boost their career or who are looking for development opportunities on a fixed-term basis.
