Salary: £40,210 per annum rising to £42,130 after passing probation
In this role you will
- Identify prospective funders whose objectives match those of the Ri. Filtering and prioritising potential donors, developing tailored cultivation plans to ensure an engaging donor-centric approach
- Develop and manage relationships with a portfolio of existing and prospective funders, utilising a wide range of appropriate methods to engage, retain and develop their involvement with the Ri and to meet fundraising targets
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the work of the Ri and potential funders to craft compelling funding bids. Briefing senior employees on developments and progress of key relationships, and providing timely and accurate reports on fundraising activity
You will bring the following experience and knowledge to this role
- Substantial experience in cultural, education or similar sector working with trusts/foundations and public sector income streams
- A passion for delivering results, and will have successfully cultivated and stewarded five or six figure donations
- As a compelling and engaging communicator, you will be happy working across different levels to cultivate, nurture and develop the relationships needed to achieve our ambitions
- You'll be adept at applying and sharing your knowledge, and will have experience of fundraising good practice and trends
- You will care about the donor experience and be skilled in developing relationships, whilst utilising appropriate formal and informal communication tools to engage a variety of audiences
We are seeking someone who has the following skills
- Self-motivated, with excellent influencing and negotiation skills, you're tactful and assertive, and skilled at communicating at all levels
- A high level of practical and organisational skills and an ability to organise and manage events
- Confident and capable of working on your initiative, you will be able to find pragmatic solutions to challenges, seeking improvements and adapting to changing situations.
- With excellent interpersonal skills, you will be able to present information, verbally and in writing, in an engaging, clear and concise manner, tailoring it to your audience with an excellent attention to detail
