Creative studio specialising in the design and fabrication of original art inspired by science and made for exhibition in the public realm.
This is Loop are a creative studio based in Somerset led by artists Harriet Lumby and Alan Hayes. Loop work with clients to design site-specific and permanent works for exhibition. Loop also design and tour their own original large-scale artworks to arts and science events around the world.
All their original artworks are inspired by science theory and explore these themes using sculpture, animated light, sound, mirror and illusion, creative coding and integrated technology.
Their current artworks PULSE, TOROID, Emergence and Geist (inspired by space and time, emergence theory and particle physics) have seen collective audiences upwards of 3 million in the last couple of years.
Loop have a reputation for taking complex scientific subjects and interpreting them into world-class, centrepiece artworks delivered to a very high standard that inspire multiple levels of engagement in broad demographic audiences.
