General Enquiries
If you contact a member of the ASDC team over the phone or by email and your reason for connecting with us relates to a possible ongoing relationship with ASDC or our members, we will hold the personal data you provide us with (for example name, job title, email contact and affiliated organisation) on a secure database. We hold this data under legitimate interest and use this information to contact you to discuss your enquiry and provide you with the information, opportunities, news or resources that support you and your organisation.
We will never email you marketing materials about our events and programmes without your specific permission for us to do so.
If you are not part of our current membership, we will seek your permission before we only provide introductions to other members, funders or colleagues with similar interests, where we believe it to be of benefit to you or your organisation.
Any consent you provide us with will be clearly recorded. We will hold information about the purpose, method and date of the consent you have provided us on our secure database.
We only hold the information we require to fulfil our mission and as a national network and membership organisation. We will delete your information when it is no longer relevant or required. You always have the right to update your information, the right be forgotten or the right to request a copy of all the information we hold about you. We will not rent or sell your personal information to any other organisation for their use in any way.
Google forms
We occasionally utilise google forms or documents to conduct surveys or connect people within the informal science learning sector.
The information contained within the form is only used for the duration that is useful and necessary to be held. It is then deleted from the ASDC profile. We will record within our database that you have taken part in a national survey. All information when presented from national surveys is anonymised before it is shared with the sector.

We cannot access any personal data about you ourselves as we are not the Data Controller for your Google profile data and you would need to contact Google directly for this information. However, data profiling may occur through using this platform. Therefore ASDC is always happy to receive your information directly through conversation with us on email or telephone:
