As part of our membership
As a networking organisation, we bring together individuals across our membership. As a core, specific purpose and within our legitimate interest for processing personal data, the ASDC team uses your contact information to occasionally connect or introduce individuals within our membership network to other members, funders or colleagues with similar interests where we believe it will be of benefit to you or your organisation.
Our processes for this will not change. We will continue to be mindful of protecting your privacy and your personal contact information and will never inappropriately share your personal data.
We will never email you marketing materials about our events and programmes without your specific permission for us to do so.
Any consent you provide us with will be clearly recorded. We will hold information about the purpose, method and date of the consent you have provided us on our secure database.
We will not rent or sell your personal information to any other organisation for their use in any way.
Google forms
We occasionally utilise google forms or documents to conduct surveys or connect people within the informal science learning sector.
The information contained within the form is only used for the duration that is useful and necessary to be held. It is then deleted from the ASDC profile. We will record within our database that you have taken part in a national survey. All information when presented from national surveys is anonymised before it is shared with the sector.
We encourage all users to familiarise themselves with Googles privacy policy: www.google.com/privacypolicy.html
We cannot access any personal data about you ourselves as we are not the Data Controller for your Google profile data and you would need to contact Google directly for this information. However, data profiling may occur through using this platform. Therefore ASDC is always happy to receive your information directly through conversation with us on email or telephone:
