The Association for Science and Discovery Centres secured funding from DIUS and DCSF to demonstrate the impact of Science & Discovery Centres and encourage their effective collaboration and maximise their future viability.
Projects were created by five consortia made up of 14 science centres across the UK. They inspired children, parents and teachers with science, whilst enhancing and strengthening partnerships between Science and Discovery Centres and developing links with new and often hard-to-reach audiences.
In total these innovative projects reached 26,678 children and 977 teachers in 358 schools from Land’s End to Northumberland.
