Downloads
This report details key findings of the 2007 The Association for Science and Discovery Centres survey, revealing that 19.5 million people visit UK Science & Discovery Centres annually, 56% of those visitors are female and that centres are widely used by teachers to support science teaching and learning.
The report recommends a number of steps science centres can take to benchmark the quality of the experience they offer. To facilitate this The Association for Science and Discovery Centres has also set up an on-line benchmarking tool which will be piloted in the first half of 2008.
The final part of this report shares examples of best practice relating to financial sustainability through articles written by 13 CEOs and directors of UK Science & Discovery Centres.
