Science centres across our network have been delivering activities at events all around the country as part of The Crunch, an exciting initiative looking at our food, our health and our planet.
ASDC developed an excellent set of equipment and training resources that challenge participants to think about the connections between where our food comes from, what our food is made of and what impact the food we eat has on our health, and the health of the planet we call home.
The future of food is one of the biggest challenges that we face. Let's start by learning about food in a fun, interactive and thought-provoking way.
Nine science and discovery centres are presenting activities in-house and at outreach events across the UK. These nine centres are:
At-Bristol Science Centre, Centre for Life, Dundee Science Centre, Eden Project, Eureka!, Glasgow Science Centre, Techniquest, Thinktank and W5
The Crunch also involves free school resources being sent to every school and FE college in the UK. These science kits provide every child with the chance to get hands-on with The Crunch. The Crunch Ambassadors programme also provides an excellent chance for you to get involved - there are over 800 Ambassadors across the UK already, and you can sign up to get some resources of your own here!
