Techniquest is a leading Science Discovery Centre with a world-wide reputation for excellence and innovation. We have transformed Techniquest into a contemporary hub for audiences of all ages to engage with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths). Having led the charity through the challenges of the pandemic and through significant changes to its funding model, as well as successfully delivering the Science Capital extension which opened in 2020, our incumbent CEO is now due to retire at the end of March 2024.
We are now seeking a high performing leader with drive to empower our small team to achieve our aspiration to be the UK’s leading Science Centre by 2030.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with experience of income generation, fundraising, business development and the development of short and long term strategic plans. Ideally from a STEM or charity background you will report directly to the Chair of the Trustees.
You should be able to demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills, financial acumen and understand the challenges and complexities of the world of a visitor attraction in Wales.
